Clean before and after each use in cold water with suitable antiseptic.Before use, shake measuring liquid to below 36c (97f).Carefully hold thermometer at opposite end to bulb, raise to shoulder height then bring down rapidly with a sharp flick towards the bulb. Repeat as necessary.To read, hold thermometer horizontal and do not touch the mercury bulb.
